1. Information We Collect
Global Crisis Intelligence ("GCI", "we", "us") collects minimal data necessary to operate the platform:
- Analytics data: Page views, anonymized IP hashes (SHA-256, not reversible), user agent strings, and referral URLs for traffic analysis.
- Newsletter subscriptions: Email addresses voluntarily provided for crisis alerts.
- Contact form submissions: Name, email, and message content submitted through our contact form.
- Cookies: Essential cookies for session management and optional analytics cookies (with consent).
We do NOT collect: Full IP addresses, personally identifiable information without consent, login credentials, payment data, or location data.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Improving platform performance and content relevance
- Sending crisis alerts to subscribers (opt-in only)
- Responding to contact inquiries
- Aggregate traffic analysis (no individual tracking)
We never sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.
3. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored on secure servers. IP addresses are hashed using SHA-256 before storage — we cannot reverse these hashes to identify individuals. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. Database access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
4. Cookies
We use the following types of cookies:
- Essential cookies: Required for basic platform functionality (session ID, cookie consent status).
- Analytics cookies: Optional cookies for traffic analysis (Google Analytics). You can opt out through our cookie banner or browser settings.
5. Third-Party Services
GCI uses data from third-party APIs (GDELT, ReliefWeb, EIA, etc.) to provide crisis intelligence. These services have their own privacy policies. We load fonts from Google Fonts and CDN resources from jsDelivr/unpkg. These providers may collect minimal usage data per their policies.

- Withdraw consent: Unsubscribe from newsletters or revoke cookie consent at any time.
- Object: Object to processing of your data for specific purposes.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@tecsolix.com.
7. Data Retention
