1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Global Crisis Intelligence ("GCI," "Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately. These terms govern your access to and use of all GCI services, content, and features.
2. Description of Service
GCI is a geopolitical risk intelligence platform that aggregates and visualizes data from open-source providers including ACLED, GDELT, UN ReliefWeb, EIA, World Bank, and others. The platform provides conflict mapping, energy market analysis, commodity tracking, aviation/shipping risk assessment, and crisis news aggregation.
3. Data Usage & Attribution
All data displayed on GCI is sourced from third-party providers and remains subject to their respective licenses and terms. Users may reference GCI's analysis with appropriate attribution. You may not:
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from the platform
- Redistribute raw data feeds without permission
- Use automated tools to access the platform at scale
- Misrepresent GCI data as your own proprietary intelligence
4. Intellectual Property
GCI's original analysis, design, code, and visualizations are the intellectual property of Global Crisis Intelligence. Underlying data belongs to the respective data providers (ACLED, GDELT, etc.). You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the platform for personal, educational, or professional research purposes.
5. Limitation of Liability
GCI provides information for educational and research purposes only. The platform is not a substitute for professional intelligence analysis, investment advice, or security assessments. We are not liable for:
- Decisions made based on platform data
- Data inaccuracies from upstream providers
- Service interruptions or API downtime
- Any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from platform use
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the platform to:
- Engage in any illegal activity
- Attempt to compromise platform security
- Upload malicious code or interfere with operations
- Impersonate other users or entities
- Use data for targeting, harassment, or discrimination
7. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated through the platform.
8. Governing Law
